Cross is definitely here…and its muddy

Another busy weekend at the races has been had by Team Orange. With riders heading to the NDCXL, Leicestershire League, South West League, Yorkshire Points Series and the West Midlands League, we had plenty going on.

Sam, Henry and Sally all headed to the West Midlands League as the Western League race was cancelled in Bristol. Sam once again put in a strong performance to bring home a 2nd place in the Senior race after a small mistake meant he couldn’t fight for the win right up to the end of the race, but nonetheless, a cracking result. Sally’s first race back after being ill was always going to be a tough affair, but a strong ride to come 6th overall in the women’s race and with that winning the V60 category. Henry had a solid ride in the Senior/Junior/ Vet race, finishing just outside the top 30 overall, but 6th in the Junior category!

Di raced a double weekend, with the NDCXL on the Saturday, getting yet another podium with 2nd against a strong line of women! Then Sunday saw both Di and Phoebe head to the Leicestershire League at Prestwold Hall. A win for Di and 4th Senior for Phoebe meant for another successful day out for the ladies!

Further up north Tomo was in the thick of the action at the Yorkshire Points Series in Bingley. A storming ride to come back 6th overall and with that, the win in the V40 race! Form looking good for this weekends National Trophy in Crawley.

Down south, Blighty’s winning run came to and end…but he went down fighting. With heavy legs from the start, he was always going to be on the back foot but still finished with a solid result of 5th overall!
